Economic Survival Tips in This Crazy Economy...?
Here are few tips that might help us keep track on how much money we are spending:
1. Keep a log on how much driving you do (mileage): keep track for one week on where you drive and try to consolidate your trips, so that you drive just a little less. If you can cut your driving by just 8 miles per day, that can translate to a savings of about $600 per year!
2. Most homes have at least 2 cars: If you have an option, drive the smaller of the cars, which typically gets better gas mileage. If you can transfer about 2000 miles of your driving onto the smaller car, that will save you several hundred dollars each year.
3. Drive the speed limit: You would be surprised how much better gas mileage we can get on our cars if we would simply obey the speed limits. Driving fast is one of the biggest contributors to poor gas mileage. Keep it under 60mph and you can fill up less often - TRANSLATION = save a few hundred dollars per year. ($4.00 per gallon is not pretty...)
4. Go through your house/garage and clear out your clutter: You would be surprised by how much "stuff" we hold onto that we no longer use, or need. Go through your house and find anything that you might be able to sell on eBay, garage sales, Craigslist (www.craigslist.org), etc. Selling these items will not only make you feel much more free and at peace, but will put some cold hard cash in your pocket.
5. Cut out the "new necessities" (at least for now): things we didn't think about buying ten years ago that we think of as "necessities" today we should try and cut down on. For example: a weekly manicure/pedicure, bottled water, premium cable tv, a land line & a cell line ( just use your cell phone). You would be surprised at how much of that money we could pocket just by cutting down on a few of these luxuries. Time to put that money back into your pocket.
6. Stop going to Starbucks! (okay, well at least cut down): I love Starbucks like everyone, but do you really need to spend $3.50 every day on a latte? If you need your latte fix before you go to the office every day, that's $17.50 each week you are spending on coffee ($910 per year ...OUCH!). Whatever happened to just drinking a nice cup of regular coffee...? Make coffee yourself at home, or make it in the break room of your office and you can already see how much you will save each month, or year.
7. Pay your bills online: save yourself the trip to the post office (gas), the cost of postage, and the cost of paying late fees. In today's tight economy, there is no excuse for getting hit with unnecessary late fees for not paying your bills on time. get online & save yourself at least a couple hundred bucks a year!
8. Get better credit card terms: shop around for better fees/rates on your credit cards. Late fees and over-limit fees can quickly add up, so make sure you are getting the best terms on your credit that you possibly can!
9. Rethink coupons: go online before you go shopping (www.coupons.com) and print out coupons that you can use. If you are ready with a good amount of coupons on your weekly trip to the grocery store, you can EASILY save $75 - $100 on each trip. Think of where that money you save can be better spent.
10. Repair your credit: poor credit scores will translate to higher interest rates, higher fees and poor terms on things like credit cards, home loans, car loans - pretty much anything that has to do with borrowing money or using credit. Get rid of negative marks on your credit report and you will be able to instantly save yourself potentially thousands of dollars each and every year! We show you exatly how to do that using our Credit Repair Program.
I absolutely love getting tips like this. It's amazing how much money we can save when we just take a moment, step back and examine exactly where we are currently spending our dollars. Make just a few adjustments here and there and you instantly can save yourself quite a bit of money. In today's economic crisis this type of examinations are crucial!

Charge Offs...What Exactly Are They?
If you consider yourself as someone with bad credit, chances are that you have at least one or more “charge offs” on your credit reports. A "charge-off" is a fairly generic term used in the debt and credit industry. A charge off is a term that simply means that the original creditor has given up collecting a delinquent debt. Once the creditor exhausts all collection efforts, it will typically charge the debt off and sell the debt to a third party - better known as a collection agency.
For most consumers, a charge off can be devastating to your credit history. Next to bankruptcy or foreclosure, a charge off is about the worst mark a person can have on his credit. It can prevent you from getting approved for a mortgage, car loan, credit card, or nearly any other type of new credit. Further, a single charged off debt could create multiple separate negative marks on a person’s credit history. This is due to the fact that a debt could be bought and sold multiple times as each party tries to recover lost profits.
As the debt is bought and sold over and over again, it is likely that each collection agency will place a negative mark on the person’s credit report. Some consumers report a long trail of charge offs on their credit report for a single debt! The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act police credit bureaus and collection agencies and prohibit them from providing misleading, inaccurate, or unverifiable information. It does not specifically prohibit a string of collection agencies from this practice. Although it is implicit that a collection agency should remove a credit report charge off mark once they sell a debt, it does not mean it is always diligent in doing so.
Therefore, the burden often falls upon the individual consumer to remove the inaccurate items by way of dispute letters, investigation requests, etc. Thus, a person dealing with even a single charged off debt may have a lot of work to do if they want to clear their credit history of charge offs. CreditErasers.com provides the tools necessary to get items like this removed from your credit history completely.
Removing marks such as collection accounts is vital in regards to credit repair. You can find all the tools and resources needed to remove such items at http://www.crediterasers.com/.
In closing, a charge off is something that consumers should try to avoid if possible. If you are delinquent on an account, try negotiating directly with the creditor. It is both in the best interest of both parties to avoid a charge off.
